Cinco de MayoThon has been postponed to 2019.  

Cinco de MayoThon is a .05km Micro-Marathon street festival on May 5, 2018, in Bethesda, MD.  The .05km Micro Marathon has all the trappings of a major street race. It leads into a Mexican street festival complete with food stands, live music, a beer & tequila garden, a family friendly zone with games and crafts, restaurant contests, and a chance to win huge prizes!   The event is All proceeds go to charity.  Learn more about the event and register for the race online:

Race: Registered participants get to run in the race of a lifetime. From balloon arch to balloon arch and every water station in between, runners will be pushed to their physical limits for 0.05 km, 164 feet. Start training now for your 50 strides to glory!

Festival: Spanning two city blocks the Cinco de MayoThon Festival is cultural food and fun for all ages. The Festival includes Food Vendors, Cerveza & Tequila Garden, Performers and Artists, Sponsor Tents, Piñata Pit (a family friendly zone), Contests for Best Taco and Jalapeño Eating, Activities (Cornhole, Selfie Walls), Raffles and Prizes Including a trip to Mexico. 

Charity: JUCONI is an award-winning charity dedicated to serving at-risk children and their families. The organization, which has been recognized by UNICEF for “Best Practices”, strives to use education and personalized therapies to end the cycle of poverty and violence. All proceeds from the event flow through the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rotary Club Foundation, which also supports numerous other local and international organizations.
